What you will do?

  • Perform tasks in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facilities that address building and client issues, with a specific focus on carpentry work.
  • Respond to service requests and emergencies.
  • Perform rough and finished carpentry work in the repair and construction of building components
  • Fit and install trim, doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
  • Completion of work and maintenance in accordance with code requirements
  • General maintenance tasks that may include: millwork (countertops), minor plumbing, repair/install doors, install windows, interior painting, stipple ceilings, work with metal studs, build and repair fencing or decks, and other similar duties
  • Assist with completing preventative maintenance in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program


What we are looking for?

  • Carpenter Journeyman certificate considered an asset
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience
  • Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
  • Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
  • Ability to read plans as applied to technical areas
  • Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately
  • Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time and lift in excess of 25 kilograms
  • Own extensive tools (i.e. belt sander, hilti/hammer drill, table saw, skill saw)
