Description

Educational Seminar: Environmental Due Diligence for Real Estate

Property Managers wear many hats – one of which is environmental risk management. Environmental risks can include: asbestos contamination, lead-based paint hazards, underground storage tanks, mold growth, air quality issues, and water contamination. This session will cover key aspects of identifying and managing environmental risks, with an overview of common environmental reports used for due diligence and compliance purposes. Participants will gain practical knowledge regarding how environmental risks may have implications on asset value, how to read your environmental reports, the health and safety of building occupants, and any third-party legal liabilities.

PRESENTER

Sam Torrens, Dream Unlimited, Environmental Risk Manager

Sam Torrens is currently an Environmental Risk Manager at Dream Unlimited where she leads and manages Dream’s environmental due diligence, insurance and compliance programs. Sam helps Dream navigate complex environmental challenges by quantifying, monitoring and mitigating environmental risks.

This event is eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points. One point per hour will be awarded.
