BOMA Connects: District Energy Series - Session 1
Join us for the first session in our Downtown District Energy Initiative (DDEI) series, where we’ll explore how the DDEI provides a unique and sustainable path to energy efficiency for downtown buildings. This session is designed for building owners, managers, and developers who want to understand how district energy can help achieve sustainability goals while reducing operational costs.

- Gain a clear understanding of the City’s District Energy Strategy, including objectives, technological approach, and the strong support of City Council.
- Learn how connecting to the DDEI aligns with building-level sustainability and efficiency targets.
- Hear from EPCOR, the trusted design, build, operate, and maintain partner for the DDEI, about the initiative’s technical and operational strengths.
- Discover developer perspectives, including insights from Qualico, highlighting broad support for district energy solutions.
- Begin identifying which downtown buildings may be interested in connecting now versus in the future.
- Receive guidance on inviting operations managers to the next session, which will focus on the pathway to connect to the DDEI.

- Street Parking – Metered street parking is available throughout the downtown core.
We recommend planning extra time to find parking and allow for a short walk to the theatre.
