The Senior Network Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of West Edmonton Mall’s corporate enterprise network, including datacenter, edge, campus, wireless, and VPN.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing front-line support for network operations across all components of the corporate network, including the datacenter, edge, campus, wireless, and VPN.
- Supporting and troubleshooting various physical and logical networks across all infrastructure, facilitating data, voice, and guest network traffic among others.
- Procuring, configuring, deploying, managing, and monitoring various layer 2 and layer 3 Cisco network devices as well as Cisco ACI.
- Administering and monitoring 802.1x port security across the enterprise.
- Administering and optimizing enterprise firewall infrastructure to meet business needs while enforcing security requirements, including VPN, Internet browsing, and remote access.
- Administering and supporting all core network services including DNS, DHCP, email security, and Internet edge security.
- Assisting with hardware lifecycle replacements or new projects by gathering network requirements, providing recommendations, gathering budgetary quotes, and assisting with business justification.
- Providing coordination and implementation support for operational network tasks as needed, including the scheduling of maintenance windows, following change management procedures and communicating accordingly.
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to other network and IT team members.
- Working closely with external telecom company partners to ensure that the services provided are functioning as expected, sized appropriately, and meeting business needs.
- Overseeing 3rd party vendors when interfacing with the corporate network, ensuring compliance with internal security and performance standards.
- Regularly reviewing network topography and design to provide recommendations for enhancements to reflect best practices, operational efficiency, performance, and security.
- Implementing, maintaining, and tuning various tools to continuously monitor network health and performance, ensuring operational excellence, proactive monitoring, and timely response.
- Updating and maintaining network documentation and network diagrams for all corporate networks.
- Supporting corporate business continuity and disaster recovery planning by reviewing and providing recommendations for process, procedures, and technology as needed.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, network engineering, or equivalent required.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in an enterprise networking role.
- Strong knowledge base and certifications involving enterprise networking equipment including firewalls.
- Previous experience working in a large organization providing IT service and support, dealing with conflicting priorities, and working with 3rd party vendors, preferably in retail or hospitality industries.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Terms of Employment:
- This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday, with additional participation in an on-call schedule rotation.
- This position requires a physical presence at the office to support infrastructure but provides opportunities for hybrid work based on team availability and management discretion.
- This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
