JLL’s Project & Development Services (“PDS”) group is seeking a Project Manager to lead high-profile projects in Western Canada out of the Edmonton office.

This is an important “client-facing” role that requires heightened situational awareness, diplomacy, sensitivity, and a solid business acumen. The Project Manager will be interacting directly with clients fully accountable for JLL’s performance in the delivery of project. The Project Manager must exhibit independent judgment to proactively plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse team and workload in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:
Project Management
Ensuring projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, and meeting client expectations.
Managing multiple projects in various phases of development.
Negotiating and holding all parties accountable to their contracts.
Managing and coordinating the activities of large project teams including owners, regional and local design consultants, contractors, suppliers, AHJs, security, AV and IT vendors, operators, and other stakeholders.
Coordinating between base building and tenant improvement scope and negotiating with landlords.
Developing, implementing and maintaining specified project management processes.
Proactively communicating with your client; maintaining project status and tracking reports.
Detailed financial and schedule management and reporting.
Utilizing a custom project management platform/technology.
Leading project meetings; ensuring minutes are quickly distributed and properly filed.
Proactively foreseeing and documenting project risks and risk mitigation plans.
Actively troubleshooting, problem solving and tracking project performance indicators.
Managing JLL’s financial performance per project.

Team Management
Fostering a project environment of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.
Energizing, supervising, mentoring, and supporting others on your team.

Relationships
Cultivating new and existing business relationships.
Collaborating with JLL peers, partners and clients.
Building trust with owners, landlords, developers, institutions, consultants, and contractors.

Growth
Networking and positioning JLL as a leader in project management services.
Supporting the pursuit and securing of new projects.
Creating project case studies at or near project completion.
Developing your skills through experience and JLL's internal and external continuing education opportunities.

What you bring:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience, in Canada, delivering capital real estate “buildings” projects, including new construction, renovations, fit-outs, and/or upgrades.
Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or similar post-secondary education.
Must possess “Owner Representative” project management experience in a fee-for-service consulting environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate, responsive, and highly organized.
Skilled at MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with MS Project or other scheduling software.
P.Eng. or similar professional designation is an asset
Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset
Sustainability designation such as LEED, CSP, ENV SP is an asset
