Agilus is recruiting for a Portfolio Manager in the metals refining industry in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
The Portfolio manager is responsible for developing and implementing project portfolio management processes and monitoring all projects throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight over the interdependencies between projects in portfolio
- Maintain a common framework for scoring proposed projects
- Responsible for achieving program level goals and targets in a reporting period
- Ensures that resources are properly allocated across projects, projects are aligned with portfolio objectives and projects are effectively prioritized and achieving value
- Provide portfolio KPIs and reporting
- Develop 5 year roadmap of projects
- Portfolio governance including reviews with key stakeholders and senior management
- Assess the risk of projects and portfolio level risks
Requirements:
- University degree in engineering and/or business
- Professional designation in engineering, project management, project controls or similar
- Strong project management skills which include experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors
- Significant experience in management information systems
- Advanced knowledge of Engineering and Project Management, supported by 10+ years’ industrial experience
- Capability to develop project controls policies, standards, practices, procedures and business processes
