We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manager, Facility Services for our Facility and Property Services Department.

What is this opportunity?
The Manager, Facility Services reports directly to the Director, Facility and Property Services. This position is responsible for the overall management and oversight of all city-owned facilities maintenance, budgets and assigned capital projects. The manager is also responsible for ensuring specific performance measures are achieved, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and staff engagement with overall departmental success. This position is also responsible for oversight of facility management software applications including financial accountability.

What will you do?
- Champion progressive and proactive facility maintenance programs
- Maintain Asset Planner MMS platform, Citywide key and access control and CCTV Systems oversight acting as the primary administrator
- Manage the quality of work and ensure completion of projects to City standards, meets specification, contract and/or agreements
- Oversee contractors to ensure they are in compliance with OHSW standards and the City of Leduc guidelines
- Develop, encourage and maintain strong relationships with facility occupants and customers
- Assist in the development of operating budgets
- Assist the Director with special projects or report information gathering and development
What do you need to succeed?
You are an ideal candidate if you have the following:
- Journeyperson certification in one of the building trades, power engineering or comparable education and experience is required
- Project management training or certification would be an asset
- BOMI or IFMA Facility Management designation is required
- Class 5 drivers license is required
- Seven (7) years’ supervisory experience is required
- Six (6) years’ experience in the trades with interprovincial license is preferred; comparable experience may be considered
- Extensive experience in building operations and day-to-day facility management within mixed use assets
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite, accounting and facility management software is required
- Project management experience is required
- Prior municipal experience would be considered an asset
