Commercial Leasing Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual with a passion for sales and commercial real estate to assist us in leasing out our commercial spaces in award winning office buildings. We are a leading Developer in Alberta and are looking for a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that can be leveraged to grow our commercial leasing opportunities. As a Commercial Leasing Specialist, you will be interacting and engaging directly with prospective tenants to achieve the property's maximum revenue and occupancy. This includes generating leads through social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, networking with businesses, attending business forums, and assisting in marketing measures to help promote available units. The Commercial Leasing Specialist will work closely with our Property Management & Marketing Team.


DUTIES:


Leasing:

•             Attend professional associations and real estate industry events, and build strong broker/client relationships

•             Cold calling and prospecting new office and retail tenants

•             Schedule appointments with prospective tenants via phone, email or walk in to develop prospective tenant pipeline, and conducting showings and administer the closing process to provide tenants with an efficient and smooth transaction experience

•             Participate in lease negotiation/strategy

•             Managing vacant space inventory and marketing materials including but not limited to floor plans, stacking plans, brochures, and feature sheets

•             Stay up to date on market activity/trends

Customer Service and Administration:

•             Professionally manage all telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries from prospective tenants and offer information as needed to create interest in the property

•             Promote a strong sense of real estate and company image

•             Follow-up and tracking of deals and requests for further information

•             Drafting leasing documentation which includes but is not limited to offer to lease, lease agreements, condition removal letters, and correspondences

•             Time management of leasing documents and critical dates during deal completion and following up with internal and external parties as necessary


REQUIREMENTS:

•             A passion for sales and business development

•             Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

•             Completion of secondary school considered an asset

•             Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office

•             Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills

•             Experience in commercial real estate is an asset

Compensation: competitive base salary, plus commissions, in addition to a comprehensive benefit package
