As Team Lead in the Alberta Building Performance team at WSP Canada, he leads energy and carbon planning initiatives for public and private sector clients across Canada. His work focuses on helping organizations meet their climate goals through data-driven strategies, technical analysis, and long-term investment planning. Joseph is particularly passionate about the intersection of building science, policy, and planning. He brings a systems-thinking approach to projects that support decarbonization, energy transition, and climate resilience. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, Joseph is committed to advancing high-performance buildings and resilient communities.-Clayton BondP.Eng.Manager, Alberta Building PerformanceWSP CanadaClayton Bond is the Manager of the Alberta Building Performance at WSP Canada, based in Edmonton. He is focused on minimizing environmental impact of buildings through thoughtful design, rigorous analysis, and optimized operation. His career includes more than 20 years of engineering experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of building systems and industrial process equipment. His professional role is to improve the performance and sustainability of buildings projects in the Prairies and Northern Territories in Canada. More recently, his focus has been on the decarbonization planning for existing buildings across a variety of building types and sectors.
