In today’s market, health, safety, and environmental performance are just as critical as location and curb appeal. This comprehensive session on Health, Safety, and Environmental Risk Management in Commercial Real Estate will provide owners, property managers, and employers with the tools and knowledge to protect tenants, employees, and the public, while also minimizing legal and financial risks.
We will unpack what due diligence truly means in the context of commercial properties and explore how robust health and safety practices translate into safer workplaces, healthier tenants, and stronger community trust. Participants will gain practical strategies for creating safe and healthy properties, including the benefits of return-to-work programs, COR (Certificate of Recognition) certifications, and reducing overall WCB exposure.
The session will also cover environmental risk management, including how to identify potential contaminant threats, manage risks associated with contaminant releases, storage tanks, hazardous waste, and other pollutants. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to reduce environmental liability and protect the long-term value of their real estate assets.
